Art-filled rooms.

Culture shocks are the best. I love visiting galleries, theatres, concerts, anywhere inspiring and fun all in one visit. So myself, my sister and my cousin decided to head out to the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea and then for dinner after that. We left early in the morn' and travelled to vauxhall and decided to walk on from there towards the Saatchi across the embankment till we arrived' since it was a bright and sunny day with the typical English chilly weather, which is my favourite type of weather.

I've been visiting the Saatchi Gallery for a couple of years now, not missing a new exhibition since its hard to; it changes around twice a year. The Saatchi is an amazing gallery for new and under the radar artists from all around the world, unexpected mediums every time with odd twists, always inspiring. The current exhibition is called 'Body Language' which had artists portraying people in interesting and quirky personal ways, from nude parent child paintings to ham sculptures, an overall interesting collection of art.

Once we got through every room at the Saatchi we headed out for a food hunt since we were starving marvin. We headed back to Piccadilly Circus and found Jamie Oliver's pop up diner, and since I spend practically every Sunday afternoon watching Jamie's 15 minute meals, I couldn't say no. The food there is sooo yummy, too bad its just a pop up restaurant. The décor is straight up american with a weird additional mixed theme of dinosaurs which was commissioned by artist Jay Burridge which I loved; the fact that they used a local British artist to create these graphic dinosaur pieces.

I had a great day with my sister and cousin, we always know how to enjoy our day trips, and have many more travels planned to come and can't wait to write about it on here.

I honestly can't recommend it enough to venture your own cities; I for one know that I take living in London for granted and am trying to explore it so much more. Also try and take a trip to the Saatchi Gallery, it'll be worth it.

Dress me internet.

The internet is my biggest inspiration when it comes to evolving my personal style. Especially with tumblr constantly throwing different fashion responses at me, it's hard not to have a strong sense of style. The way I would describe my current 'style' is a mix between casual t-shirt & jeans looks to smart coats with loose shirts. I am trying to evolve my wardrobe into a more smart over casual variation to keep it simple and relaxed, minimal colours, & black, love me some black. Here's a variation of looks from my tumblr which will be a moodboard of looks and influences I hope to incorporate into my own style/ or already are a classic look for me.

From the start, again.

So lets be honest, raise your hand if you've attempted to start up a blog endless amounts of times but just end up abandoning it, again *raises hand*. This time will be different I promise myself as I hit up this introduction to my new lifestyle slash mainly fashion blog.

I'm Serife; Turkish-Cypriot brit, Turkish name, hard to pronounce but I'm not fussy on it. The name 'cherriepea' is what my dad called me as a child, it sounded similar to cherry-pea so I just glamorised it. I've lived in London my whole life, 18 years, and I'm currently in my foundation year studying fashion and textiles, preparing myself for a textiles degree.

This blog will be strictly me, which can be anything like wishlists, places I'd like to go, travel, makeup, fashion inpos, books, make-up, uni projects, ootd's; honestly anything that I feel would be suitable. This is a blog that I can share with other readers, bloggers, students but also that can help myself keep track of things really.

Hopefully this blog won't go bust like all my other attempts.

Can't wait to get this rolling and hopefully you can relate and enjoy many of the posts which are to come. Woop.
